Now i made a bunch of environment flats of different designs to see how my designs for before would work on a 3D background. The first design was a very simple one which was just a path going through a forest with trees and grass which looked just fine in the 3D flat but i realised in the end that this wouldn't work in a actual 3D model
The next one also looked really nice on the 3D flats but it wouldn't work out if i used mixed media on an actual 3D design since the rock and sword would actually have to come off of the page and that would only be 2.5D instead of 3D
The third would of been the easiest to create so far since it would of worked on a 3D model because theres nothing coming directly off of the page unlike the previous two, all i would need to do with the perspective is using shading to make the water look deep.
My final 3D flat was also going to be difficult to create since it would be completely 3D and i could make it truly 3D but it would end up looking to childish since i could use toilet tube for the tree trunk but that wouldending up look like something id make while watching the show Art Attack and not what a College student would make
I decided to go with the the first design but because of how it wouldn't work on a 3D model i edited the design while keeping true to how i saw it. i did this by moving where the trees were positioned as well as which direction the path goes. i even added a sign to allow a more 3D look to the design.
